How An Audi Makes For The Ultimate Employee Incentive

If you are a manager, director, or hold any position that means you are directly responsible for a team and its performance, no doubt you will have brainstormed different methods on how to get the best out of your employees. Do you offer them longer lunches? More days off? Monetary incentives?

Truth be told, you can offer any of the above, but perhaps the best incentive that can be offered is something that also improves performance.

Imagine your top salesperson driving around the country in an Audi – the impression that makes when the customer sees that fine specimen of a vehicle rock up in their drive. Before even exchanging pleasantries, the customer is already thoroughly impressed with what they have seen.

Drive Sales

Sales teams will regularly be given company cars so as they can travel from place to place, meeting new customers and establishing relationships as well as attending appointments with valued customers. However, standard company cars tend not to have that je ne sais quoi that really captures the imagination of neither the salesperson nor the customer.

Of course, nicer cars mean more money, so it probably isn’t going to be feasible for many businesses to afford a fleet of top of the range vehicles. That means there is an opportunity to implement an incentive, such as whoever makes the most sales, consistently hits sasaran and drives the most revenue gets first dibs on the company car.

The Audi A4, quite rightly, was picked as the best executive car according to What Car? due to its beautiful interior and spacious boot. Stylish and practical, your salesperson would certainly find it easier to close out those important deals in their office away from the office.

Other Incentives

Company cars aren’t the only incentive that can help to drive performance and increase morale in the office. Bonus schemes can take many guises, all of which can be utilized effectively in the business.

Bonuses should be awarded based on performance and loyalty to the business. Employees want to know that their hard work is being recognized as well as their loyalty. This helps to keep hold of your business' most valuable employees, while also giving other team members a goal to strive for. Everyone wants to be recognized whether they are vocal about it or not.

If you do want to implement a range of new bonus schemes for your business, you can find more information here. Not all are financially-based and, arguably, non-financial bonuses and/or incentives work better as there is more thought involved.

Status

When your sales team is on the road, they are representing your business. It is in your interest to ensure that they are making the correct impression by being seen in prestigious vehicles. Would you really want to buy from someone driving an old rusty car that looks as though it is more valuable as a scrap item?

Whether you look to bring your company’s fleet into the modern day to incentivize your employees or because your current vehicles don’t do your business justice, do it right. You will soon see an upturn in performance and the way that your team holds themselves.
